Of all the albums that came out this Eid (including Aurthohin’s) the only CD that got stuck on my juke box is Minar’s. This new comer has really stole the show from all with just simple music, lyrics and great vocals.

Don’t believe me? Check out the sample.

I never thought I would get to a day where Aurthohin sounds like someone else. I have to say that I am personally very impressed with the new direction they are in. Some of the tracks sounds like Cold Play, some like Savatage while others make you think about Punk Rock bands like Die Trying.

What really threw me off was the track Nikristo. This reminded me of Soilwork and that’s a feeling that was awesome! Soilwork was one of my favourite bands a few years back. But then again, Nikristo sounds very close to Soilwork’s Song of the Damned. What do you think?

Ok people, it has been a while but I am sure you will be psyched to hear about more similarities. Our new one comes from none other than the returning champions Romel, Babna and Russell. I mean seriously, you want your song to sound exactly like Aerosmith’s Falling in Love??

Check it out yourself!

I was listening to Radio Foorti on the way back from Kakoli on Thursday when I heard this song on the radio that just sounded very very familiar. I tried to figure out who it was, but in vain. Eventually I came to realize that the song sonuded like a poppy version of Tattooed Millionaire by Bruce Dickinson.

If anyone knows what song it was, then please share. The song was in Bangla, but the chorus sounded exactly like the original English metal song.
Oops 2 U is going to be those sections where we find songs that is very similar to other songs. I’m not saying that these people are coping things directly. It many cases the similarity is coincidental and most like due to artist influences. Yet once in a while it is so similar that it makes you go Hmmm.

My first victim is Shironamhin. I personally love their work. They have managed to stand out in the sea of other Bangali rockers. Unfortunately with this venture they ended up just a bit to close to another popular rock song. Can you tell which one it is?
